New Style for Men: Scarfs

As I've been walking around Paris, I've seen guys of all ages wearing scarfs. They aren't gay, it's just in style over here. I think it's cool. My dad got a scarf and he posed for the camera. It's brown and white but the scarfs have been all different colors.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Bonjour from Paris!

Hey everyone! I'm in Paris at this moment. I've seen so many fashions that I love and have inspired me. The first one is shorts with leggings/tights. Yesterday, walking down Champs Elysees (my computer doesn't do accent marks so bear with me) I saw about 5 people wearing this style.

Today I wore my favorite "highwaisted" shorts (from the Gap), grey leggings (from JohnnieBoden), button down light blue shirt tucked into my shorts (from the Gap) and black boots (curteousy of my mother). Maybe you saw me wearing my leather jacket (bottom picture, jacket from JohnnieBoden)
Note: My IPod camera quality is bad.

Hair Coloring with Crayola Markers

Excuse my face.... yeah so first video. I do this to my hair a lot. It works the best on blonde hair. Pastels (as in pastel crayons) work with darker hair.

Fun things: Fashion shoots

Boredom is hard to beat when you have a friend over and you can't think of anything to do. I've had that problem. My friend, Olivia, and I beat that by doing a photo shoot. We used locations we could walk to, such as my kitchen, the outside of my house and a forest near my house. Think of places you could use around your house or places in walking distance. This is a chance to be a model and designer! Have fun! These are some of the pictures Olivia and I took:

Headbands

I found that this style of headbands (full circle ones) are fun to wear like I am in the picture. They are in style right now and look great with all types of hair. They don't go with all types of outfits so experiment to see what looks right.

Easy Way to Curl

This is an easy way to curl your hair with a straightener!

Steps:

1: Take the piece of hair and clamp the straightener
2: take the hair and twist it once around the straightener
3: slowly slide the straightener down and you're set!

Double Twist

This is just like the easy twist and braid except without the braid and two twists.
Steps:
1. Twist some hair back and clip it into place
2. Twist a second set of hairs back that are beneath the first and clip into place

Fashion trend: Winter

I stopped into Joe's (a favorite store of mine) and tried on pairs of colored skinny jeans. Then I looked in magazines and found that not only are they comfortable and fun but they're in style for winter, too! You can wear them with a plain white tee shirt or with a blazer. I bought a pair of bright purple jeans and will wear them with the Preppy look so I can wear it at school.

Dare Week: Coming Soon!

So Crysanne and I were thinking of fun things to do on StyleFile and came up with Dare Week.  How Dare Week works: Crysanne and I will think up fun or crazy dares and post them on here. Check back here daily for new dares. During or after you do them, post a comment on here telling us how it went. You can post a comment for an idea for a new dare for other Dare Weeks. The maximum dares per day are 3, so you can choose your dare out of the 3 or you can do all 3 dares.

First Dare Week: July 1-7, 2012.

Second Dare Week: September 9-15, 2012.

Third Dare Week: December 2-8, 2012

Fourth Dare Week: May 5-11, 2013.

Welcome!!!!

Hey! Welcome to Style File! It's the beginning of summer so I'll be posting more summerier photos with tips. I get most of my pictures off of Instagram or Tumblr. I'm not allowed to give out my IG name. I redo my nails every weekend so after I'll post a picture of them and how to do the nails. Enjoy your summer! Most of the pics are of me (the ones standing on the toilet are because the only full length mirror is in my parents room).
